WWE’s second annual Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event will be broadcast on Peacock starting at 1:30 PM this Saturday. This time, Glasgow, Scotland’s OVO Hydro, will host a card featuring several championship matches.
The early start is due to the international time difference between the United States and Scotland. It will mark the second WWE PLE in a row to take place outside the country, following last month’s King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia.
Online pro wrestling sportsbooks have posted lines for most known matches and a few props based on potential interference by unadvertised WWE Superstars. One such match is Drew McIntyre vs. Damien Priest, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion (aka, the lesser belt of the two main championships).
Priest captured the title at WrestleMania when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase shortly after McIntyre won the strap from Seth Rollins. That move was strange for two reasons.
First, the McIntyre and CM Punk rivalry was just beginning to heat up, angling toward an eventual championship match at a PLE. Second, it makes no sense from a logistical perspective to cash in a title opportunity for a secondary championship.
Here is what the best-reviewed pro wrestling betting sites have posted for the McIntyre Priest match. Each set of odds is presented in red for BetOnline and blue for BetUS.
World Heavyweight Championship Match
- Drew McIntyre -220, -120
- Damien Priest (C) +155, -120
BetOnline’s match line favors McIntyre heavily, while BetUS is offering identical odds for both superstars. Gamblers are advised to alternate between books depending on who they think will win.
Will CM Punk Interfere In The Priest McIntyre Match?
- Yes -300, -500
- No +200, +300
Since the real storyline at play involves an eventual “clash” between McIntyre and CM Punk, prop bets are offered asking if he’ll somehow get involved in the championship match this Saturday.
The odds suggest certain interference by Punk, but players can risk a lot less of their own money by shopping the odds.
Undisputed WWE Championship Betting Line
- Cody Rhodes (Champion) -3000, -2000
- AJ Styles +900, +750
“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes is projected to continue his reign as WWE’s Undisputed Champion at Clash at the Castle. The WWE odds imply that Cody has between a 95% and 97% chance of retaining, placing AJ Styles as a massive underdog across the board.
United States Championship Odds
- Logan Paul -1500, -1500
- LA Knight +800, +700
- Carmelo Hayes +850, +750
Logan Paul is the current US Champion and has to defend his title in a three-way at the Clash. Paul is heavily favored to win and extend his reign, at least until the next PLE.
