Betting On Bill Goldberg’s Final WWE Match

Earlier this month, Bill Goldberg announced he would wrestle a retirement match for the WWE in 2025. Goldberg hasn’t wrestled since 2022 when he competed in a match inside the WWE Elimination Chamber.

By the time Goldberg steps into a professional wrestling ring again, it will likely be at least three years since his last match.

WWE betting sites have created prop bets offering odds on the wrestler that Goldberg will face.

Who Will Bill Goldberg Wrestle In His Last WWE Match?

  • Gunther -200
  • Bronson Reed +300
  • John Cena +400
  • Randy Orton +500
  • Kevin Owens +700
  • Brock Lesnar +900
  • Cody Rhodes +1000
  • Roman Reigns +1000
  • Braun Strowman +1200
  • Chad Gable +1500
  • CM Punk +1500
  • The Rock +2000
  • Stone Cold Austin +2500
  • Bret Hart +5000

What The Odds Suggest

An overwhelming favorite to wrestle against Goldberg in his final WWE match is Gunther. Despite the large field of potential WWE Superstars, Gunther’s odds of facing Goldberg are set at -200.

Gamblers will need to risk $2 on Gunther vs. Goldberg being the final match of Bill’s career to get a dollar in winnings. Gunther is so heavily favored because of his confrontation with Goldberg at the Bad Blood PLE in October.

What The Fans Want

Bret “the Hitman” Hart may be featured at the bottom of the above WWE futures, but fans would like nothing more than to see the “Excellence of Execution” and “the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be,” enter the squared circle one more time.

Hart and Goldberg’s heated rivalry is legitimate and dates back to their time with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in the late 1990s. At Starrcade 99, an errant Goldberg kick concussed Hart as he came off the rope, and his career was never the same.

Try this on for a WrestleMania moment. How about Goldberg tapping out to a sharpshooter in the middle of the ring?

Will The Match Be At WrestleMania?

WrestleMania 41 would seem like the perfect venue for a Goldberg retirement match, but will the WWE be able to drag this plotline along for six months without Bill getting into the ring?

There’s also John Cena’s retirement to consider. He’s scheduled to wrap up his in-ring career at Mania in 2025, and the promotion may not want two retirement matches on the card.

The next major WWE PLE on the schedule is the Royal Rumble on February 1st, so it may make more sense to schedule Goldberg’s last match on that card.

Will It Be His Last Match?

As far as the WWE is concerned, this will be his final run with the company. The AEW has reached out to Goldberg in the past, but he’s been dismissive of the promotion publically.

Some industry insiders believe that the lure of a massive payday will convince him to reconsider his stance on All-Elite Wrestling. Until further notice, treat this run like his last and savor every moment.
