2024 WWE Backlash Betting Odds For Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles

At WrestleMania XL, Cody Rhodes completed his journey to become the WWE champion, taking the strap from Roman Reigns after a 1,316-day run with the title. The first chapter in Cody’s championship story will occur at Backlash on May 4th.

The 2024 Backlash is taking place in Lyon, France, so due to the time difference, the stateside broadcast will begin at 12:30 PM EST.

Cody Rhodes’ Backlash opponent will be AJ Styles. The pairing should provide for a well-worked main event, but Backlash betting sites are projecting what all WWE fans assume – a certain win by Cody.

Backlash odds are posted in blue for BetUS and red for BetOnline where available.

WWE Undisputed Championship Match

  • Cody Rhodes (c) -4000 -3000
  • AJ Styles +1000 +850

Damien Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania and took the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Drew McIntyre. Priest’s first defense will be against Jey Uso at Backlash, and WWE betting sites have offered the exact same odds that were created for Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles.

World Heavyweight Championship Match

  • Damian Priest (c) -4000 -3000
  • Jey Uso +1000 +850

Bayley will defend her Women’s WWE Championship in a three-way match against former champion Naomi and Tiffany Stratton. The WWE odds overwhelmingly favor Bayley to win. That’s the problem with title matches that are booked soon after they’re won – promotions typically keep the belt on the champion for at least a few months.

Naomi vs. Bayley vs. Tiffany Stratton

  • Bayley -800
  • Tiffany Stratton +350
  • Naomi +400

Jade Cargill is a recent addition to the WWE roster following a tenure with rival promotion AEW (we use the term rival loosely here). Cargill appears positioned for a major push in the company, but she needs additional in-ring work before she’ll be ready for prime time.

The Kabuki Warriors vs. Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair

  • The Kabuki Warriors +750
  • Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair -2000

While Jade and Bianca may have mixed it up at the Royal Rumble in January, they’ve put aside those grievances and now make a great duo for both the temporary and long-term future.

We don’t expect the good times to last between Cargill and Belair, but online WWE betting sites have no doubt that they’ll be victorious over the Kabuki Warriors at Backlash this Saturday.

Cargill is a raw talent (no pun intended) but incredibly gifted from a physical perspective. Her promos also need work, but it is hard to deny that there is a certain appeal to her on-screen persona.

Viewers feel as if they are along for the ride with Jade as she works her way into becoming a main eventer. Her enthusiasm more than covers up for any temporary flaws in her current game.

We look forward to her partnership and likely feud with Bianca Belair and hope that the seeds of discontent aren’t planted at Backlash so the ride lasts a little longer.
